ERC Adopt new mechanisms to spread health awareness against COVID19

The Egyptian Red Crescent has taken new methods and measures to raise awareness and combat the spread of the "Covid 19" virus, in order to fulfill its national role. The health awareness strategy has been changed through new mechanisms to reach the targeted groups that it serves, such as children and residents of the areas most in need, as well as refugees and migrants from different countries.
The Egyptian Red  Crescent volunteers are working with their full power to reach the targeted groups with new methods, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the components of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, stating that in the field of service and awareness of children as a health and safety program, a large group of picture messages appropriate for children has been made and disseminated through the means of communication Social as well as via the "WhatsApp" service, especially for orphanages, and direct contact with the supervisors of these homes in order to convey these messages in an optimal way for children.
The Egyptian Red Crescent, in the framework of its service to all ages and groups of the elderly, provided the officials of the homes for the elderly with films and educational materials to combat the spread of the virus and the best means of prevention, as well as full communication with the officials of the branches in the 27 governorates and the formation of special teams to work together and in coordination with the Central Emergency Operations Room in the center The Principal, along with a permanent coordinator from the Health Promotion Unit to answer any questions that come to the emergency room related to Coronavirus.
A number of videos were filmed by the health promotion team on the means of prevention and combating the "Covid-19" virus, as well as responding to the false information circulating about the virus and the best methods of prevention, in different languages including Arabic, English, French and some African languages such as Amharic and motherhood to serve refugees and migrants, especially some African nationalities Which is only fluent in its language, and all of this material was published on social media as well as through the "WhatsApp" service.
In addition to launching a "volunteer for every street" initiative through social media to attract volunteers, they will be trained online to create a network of volunteers everywhere to raise awareness and work through their presence in their communities.
