Blood Donation is a message of life

The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) organized an awareness seminar on "blood donation and providing psychological support for blood diseases patients".
The seminar took place in ERC premises in Nasr City. Prof. Moamena Kamel, the Secretary General of ERC delivered a speech concerning the development of ERC central blood bank to cope with the current international standards in this field. She stressed on the importance of psychological support for blood diseases patients that receive help by ERC blood banks. Dr. Seham Al Baz, director of ERC central blood bank explained the importance of blood donation in rescuing the lives of patients and Dr. Ihab Serag El-Dine, consultant of Secretary General on Quality Assurance encourage all the Egyptians to donate regularly and consider giving their blood to someone in need as “message for life.” While Dr. Youmna Maher Children Specialist, explained the different types of blood illness and genetic illness.
