ERC participates in relief aids to floods victims

Emergency alert was announced in ERC headquarters and its branches in conjunction with the floods those attacked Alexandria and Behera on Wednesday, 4th of November 2015.

Accordingly, a teamwork supervised by Prof. Moamena Kamel, ERC Secretary General, was formed to follow up and intervene in the situation, in cooperation with Ministries of Health and social solidarity.

The members of the National Disaster Response Team (NDRT) were called and directed to Wadi Al Natroun city where they met the president of the city Mr. Salah Masoud , who directed them to the hospital where the victims were transferred to.

NDRT members distributed blankets and mats to the sufferers, in addition to providing the psychosocial support to them.

It is to be mentioned that Prof. Moamena Kamel instructed the branch managers during their regular meeting, to give the highest priority to relief operations especially in conjunction with the floods the country suffers from as a result of the climatic changes.
