Egypt & Germany exchange voluntary work experiences, under the auspices of ERC

In Nasr City, Giza and Alexandria branches, the Egyptian Red Crescent hosted a delegation from the Federal Republic of Germany, composed of 10 young men and women invited by the General Administration of cultural and social clubs in Ministry of Social Solidarity.

During these visits, The German delegation got to know the volunteers’ activities, like programs aim to improve their abilities for active participation in society development, psycho-social rehabilitation programs and programs for school students like the health and safety project.

The delegation also got introduced to the tasks of ERC specialized teams, like Emergency Action Team, National Disaster Response Team and Psychosocial Support Team.

The youth of both countries participated in some activities for those teams.

The German delegation also saw a documentary film about the origin and history of ERC. At the end of these meetings, there was a conversation between young people in order to exchange experiences between the two countries in the field of voluntary work.
